Grad student demands younger sister pay her $6000 after discovering she secretly got her car stripped, towed, and lost to the tow yard while pretending everything was fine, sparking drama as parents defend her: 'She was sending me old pictures of my car'

When something is handed down to you as a gift or thoughtful gesture, it's important to treat it as if you bought it yourself! Just because you didn't spend money on it doesn't mean someone else didn't. So when this older sister went off to university and generously left her car for her 21-year-old sister to use, she was confident it was in good hands. Yet, she couldn't have possibly been more wrong.

Stripped, towed, and ultimately claimed by the tow yard, the younger sister couldn't have cared less about the car, despite knowing how much it had meant to her older sister, as the first car she had purchased herself! She wasn't completely unaware of her disrespect, even going so far as to send staged old pictures that made the car look like it was in perfect condition. But when the older sister returned from university, it didn't take long for her to realize that a giant, four-wheeled, 4,000-pound item was missing from the driveway.

  • FeralBorg Ask to borrow your sister's car, then sell the tires, catalytic converter, and anything else that's easy to remove. Use that money as a down payment for your own car, and tell your sister and mom that "they are good with money so they will figure out how to get it fixed" The actual answer is cut both of them out of your life, they are leeches.
